Epiphyllum ‘Michelle Obama’

One of the newest hybrids from our head gardener Frank Supplie, it is a tribute to the first lady.

It is a result of one of the favourite crosses Lucille x Jicaro, all hybrids have multi petalled flowers and are very compact in growing.

The parents of this cross are known for a long time. Lucille is a cross from Rob W Poindexter and Jicaro is a cross made by George French. Frank did use these parents a lot and achieved compact rich flowering plants.
