Epiphyllum Emperor Toba

 Emperor Toba (鳥羽天皇, February 24, 1103 – July 20, 1156) was the 74th Emperor of Japan, according to the traditional order of successionToba's reign spanned the years from 1107 through 1123.

This is a hybrid from the Emperor of Japan collection, made by Frank Supplie for the special event at the Gardenparty at Beervelde, October 2015. For all Japanese Emperors there was an Epiphyllum picked and named and published in the book± Epiphyllum± The Emperors of Japan. The book was in a limited edition, the first book was offered to the Emperor of Japan, giving it to the ambassador of Japan in Belgium.

Emperor Toba is a very nice symmetrical hybrid in a perfect colouration. It is a hybrid which is a basket type. The splendid flowers are just 20cm  in diameter.

It is a Frank Supplie hybrid and is just released for a small time period as unrooted cutting. It is a splendid Epiphyllum hybrid that it is worthy be named after an Emperor. Unrooted cuttings only.
