Emiel van der Auwera

The second person in Belgium who was interested in growing Epiphyllum hybrids. Emiel did come from a family which is in the area of Antwerp-Aalst known as a gardeners family. In Worldwar II he was deported to Germany for working there, as many other citizens of occupied countries, at Kakteen Haage. *

Mr. van der Auwera was one of the mentors of Frank Süpplie. Most of his hybrids are registered at the ESA by Mr. Süpplie
